    Call for Papers

    The International Journal of Policy Studies (IJPS) invites researchers and scholars to contribute their original research to publish in the peer reviewed international journal. As an official journal of the Korean Association for Policy Studies, this journal accepts high-quality, original research featured in articles, policy debates, and book reviews.

    IJPS aims to provide a comprehensive source of theoretical and analytical research that broadens the field of action in policy studies.

    The journal is devoted to significant advances in knowledge and understanding of the practices in the field of public policy.

    IJPS welcomes a wide range of topics, approaches, and ideas through seeking an important balance in the production of descriptive, explanatory, and evaluative policy-oriented research. The main areas of interest are as follows: comparative studies of public policy with administrative developments in the international field of action; theoretical, empirical, and methodological insights to the study of public policy in a national, comparative, or international context; and constructive debate on current trends, issues, and practices in public policy.

    Main articles, a maximum of 9000 words, undertakes rigorous double-blind peer review based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous reviewers.

    Submissions should be directed electronically to Co-Editors in Chief, Drs. Sungsoo Hwang and Younhee Kim, at kapsedi@kaps.or.kr. Policy debates, 3000-5000 words, take contrary or complementary standpoints on timely policy topics to be accessible to the broader audience of policy scholars and practitioners. Submissions should be submitted electronically to Associate Editors, Drs. B. Joon Kim and Hyunhee Park at kapsedi@kaps.or.kr. Book reviews, 1000-1500 words, discuss timely-relevant and historically significant topics, theories, and practices in academia and the field.
