Policy Platform on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Chengdu, China on September 23, 2016





The Policy Platform 1 on "Sustainable Development Goals: what will it take" was held during the 2016 IIAS-IASIA Joint International Congress in Chengdu, China on September 23, 2016.

Panelists include: Prof. Pan Suk Kim (Chair; Yonsei University, South Korea), Prof. Demetrios Argyriades (Facilitator; John Jay College, NY), Prof. Jeanne-Marie Col (Presenter; John Jay College, NY; Board Member, Institute for Conscious Global Change), Dr. Katinka Weinberger (Presenter; Chief of the Environment and Development Policy Section, UNESCAP, Bangkok), Dr. Jose-Antonio Puppim de Oliveira (Presenter; Editor of PAD and Professor of Public Management at Fundação Getulio Vargas, Brazil), Prof. Zhiyong "Gerald" Lan (Presenter; Tsinghua University, China), and Prof. Lei Liu (Presenter; Sichuan University, China).

A substantial number of conference participants attended in this panel including: Dr. Jiang Wu (Former President of the Chinese Academy of Personnel Sciences and President of AGPA), Dr. Masahiro Horie (Chair of the IIAS’ Program and Research Advisory Committee), Madam Helen Argyriades (former official of the UNICEF), Prof. P.S. Reddy (Member of the IASIA’s Board of Management and Professor at University of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa), and many others.

Dr. Jiang Wu announced to have a follow-up working group meeting on “Public Administration and Sustainable Development Goals” at Xiamen University, Fujian (located between Hong Kong and Shanghai), China on September 21-23, 2017. Conceptual, thematic discourse and geographical implementation cases are welcomed.
